Young Women and Girls Involvement – Nothing About Us, Without Us

In summer 2015, Womens Fund in Georgia (WFG) in collaboration with filia Frauenstiftung (German Womens Fund) started implementation of partnership program “Young Women and Girls Involvement – Nothing About Us, Without Us”. The program goal is to empower young women and girls by encouraging their active involvement is social life, leadership, dialogue and culture of non-violence. The target groups of the program are young women and girls from the age of 14 to 24.


In frame of the program, Womens Fund in Georgia awarded 6 grants, and representatives of the grantee groups - Mariam Topchishvili, Mariam Komladze, Mariam Mirotadze, Anano Samsonia and Mariam Tkeshelashvili - were given an opportunity to visit Berlin and meet there with German peers, girls board of filia, local organizations working on gender issues, experts, editor of German feminist magazine and successful Georgians living in Berlin. On November 27, Georgian girls have presented their projects to German-Georgian audience, who gathered in order to get acquainted with their initiatives and work of two womens funds, filia and WFG.
