Supporting Women`s Movement Building in Georgia 2015

Women's Fund in Georgia (WFG) would like to announce a grants competition on “Supporting Women's Movement Building in Georgia.” The program is financially supported by the Kvinna till Kvinna foundation, South Caucasus field office.


The program aims to support womens empowerment and feminist movement. WFG welcomes womens rights groups, feminist activists and women human rights defenders to apply to the call where following initiatives will be supported:


·         Feminist educational initiatives (research studies, ToTs, workshops, feminist schools/camps, etc.)

·         Collective initiatives of feminists, womens organizations/groups, activists and WHRDs.

·         Feminist art initiatives (filmmaking, art-making, music, literature, art-therapies for activists/WHRDs, etc.)

·         Other kind of innovative and creative initiatives aimed at supporting womens movement building.


Groups eligible to apply for a grant are formal (registered) as well as non-formal groups. The geographic focus of the competition is Tbilisi, as well as other regions of Georgia. WFG will support the projects which are implemented by women and where women are direct or final beneficiaries. Within this competition, priorities will be given to the coalition of womens initiatives.


Grant amount is 2500 EUR (for each project); the duration of each project is up to 6 months.


Women's Fund in Georgia will conduct consultation meetings for grant-seekers at the Fund's office (every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm), from September 29 to October 16.


The deadline for proposal submission (one printed or handwritten copy in Georgian, Russian or English) is October 19, 2015. The final decision regarding the award will be announced before the end of October, 2015.
