Rapid Response Grantmaking Program

Women's Fund in Georgia in partnership with the Urgent Action Fund (UAF) announces the Rapid Response Grantmaking (RRG) Program, which provides timely small grants to support strategic interventions that take advantage of opportunities to advance women's human rights anywhere in the world. Such opportunities arise when an unexpected event - positive or negative - creates a situation in which rapid intervention can have a significant impact.

Open Door Grants Program 2010

Women's Fund in Georgia announces Open Door Grants Program for women's groups and organizations to meet women's up-and-coming needs.

Decreasing the exclusion of marginalized groups of Georgian IDPs

In 2010 WFG started implementing the program "Decreasing the exclusion of marginalized groups of Georgian IDPs".

Women’s Economic Empowerment

In 2010 WFG started implementing the program "Women's Economic Independence in the Post-conflict Zone and Remote Regions of Georgia".

Projects supported with the Open Door Grants Program in 2009

In 2009 WFG supported initiatives of 12 women’s groups.

INWF European regional meeting

On October 8-10, 2009 Women's Fund in Georgia organized and hosted European Regional Meeting of the International Network of Women's Funds (INWF). The meeting brought together 18 representatives of the women's funds that are based and/or working in the Europe region.

Community Leadership Training Program for Women in Georgia

In 2009 People in Peril Association and Women's Fund in Georgia implemented a focused training programme for regional women leaders from three provinces of Georgia aimed at strengthening women's leadership roles in their communities and build skills in advocating for social change.

Second grant competition for the year of 2009

Women’s Fund in Georgia implemented grants competition for overcoming homophobia and discrimination against women based on sexual or gender identity.

International Women’s Day

On 8 March Women's Fund in Georgia's organized a women-only event for celebrating the International Women's Day and women's achievements globally. The event gathered around 50 women's rights activists, including its grantees and partners in the New Art Café, Tbilisi.
